Utah is a Direct Access State

Utah is a direct access state, which means that obtaining a referral by a physician or other health care provider for physical therapy treatment is not necessary in order to receive care from a licensed physical therapist. However, some insurances will not pay your claims without a prescription for Physical Therapy from a doctor, which they consider "proof of medical necessity". Please feel free to contact us and inquire which insurance companies do require a prescription in order to bill Physical Therapy to your insurance.

As a courtesy to our patients, we will verify your health benefits prior to your arrival (if you have provided us with your insurance information) to determine if there will be a copay, deductible, or coinsurance for therapy services.

For those patients who do not have health insurance or those who have maxed out their benefits, we do have a very competitive private-pay rate.  Please contact us today for more information on our fees for service and payment details.
